Happy Little Accidents

The last thing Eddie Diaz expects to come out of his trip to Buckley’s Plant Nursery & Landscaping with his son, is to develop an honest to god schoolgirl crush on the guy who owns the place (and not notice that that is what’s happening for an embarrassingly long time).  

The plan is simple. Get in, have Christopher pick out a couple of succulents or whatever he needs for his school project, and get out without infesting any of the gorgeous plants in the shop with his bad plant karma. 

But then, the first thing he’s greeted with is a hunk of a man, carrying two heavy packs of soil on his broad shoulders. Eddie swears he can see a drop of sweat running down the man’s face in slow motion. His t-shirt looks like it’s one strategic muscle flex away from bursting at the seams and Eddie—Eddie feels nervous all of the sudden. And he’s gaping like a fish. 

“Hey,” Hunk-man says as he hoists the soil on the counter next to him with a grunt, “What can I help you with?”

At least Eddie has enough self-awareness to close his mouth.

Or: the one where Buck owns a plant nursery and Eddie stumbles through his crush (and has no game during all of it)—oh and also, there are a lot of Bob Ross references.

bitti beloved!!!! okay so i have to admit that i see soulmates as a bit of a horror story BUT i think kita could fix me on that front. i think there would be a Lot of agony about having a soulmate on my end because i overthink everything, but i think my mark would be a very simple you're alright. and it's something i go back to again and again throughout life. a reminder and a promise.

i think we meet probably in our late 20s/early 30s! we've both (mostly) found our rhythm in life and i think we are both a little shaken by having it changed? but i can look at my mark and be reassured.

im flattening again, and i have now lost count of how many times i’ve done this tbh! i feel like im faster now tho, and i actually dont hate the process of flattening at all anymore so i’ll share the order i do it in! i think flattening is kinda a lot the first or even second time you do it so yea, i’ve done it over 10 times and this is how i do it now☘️

step 1 is items.. i get rid of and/or store all items on the island as the first thing!

the storage sheds and largest amount of home storage are lifesavers! flattening used to be so much worse before 2.0✨

step 2 is rivers and ponds! i get rid of all water..

looks sad but instantly opens up your island! also makes you commit to flattening lol, no going back now����

step 3 is buildings and bridges/inclines! get rid of them all, send them to the beaches! Its no longer that expensive honestly(used to be 50k to move a villager house im never forgetting it nintendo!)

this takes a while bc you can only move 1 building and remove 1 bridge or incline per day! However after these steps your island is already very empty, and at this stage i would normally pick out an area for my first new build and clear that first🪴
